Docent Program Information

The docent program offers information on the displayed works and the artists to the Jeonnam International SUMUK Biennale.

  • Operating Period : September 1 ~ October 31, 2021 *Closed on Mondays.
  • Program Times
    • Regular : To be determined.
    • Non-scheduled : To be determined.
  • Target : Visitors to the Jeonnam International SUMUK Biennale
  • Duration : Approx. 30 to 60 minutes
  • Venue : Exhibition halls of the Jeonnam International SUMUK Biennale (Mokpo and Jindo)
  • Inquiries : Event Management Team of the JISB Secretariat (+82-(0)61-280-5879)
    • For the regular docent program, admission will be granted to those who wait at the entrance to the exhibition hall (Docent Information Desk), on a first-come, first-served basis. Advance booking is not required.
    • For groups of 20 or more visitors, please note that those who have booked the program in advance will be served first if there are many visitors.
    • The program hours and duration are subject to change depending on the circumstances of the exhibition hall.

Notice for Visitors

  • Visitors are not allowed to re-enter the exhibition hall once they have left.
  • The entire exhibition space is a no smoking area.
  • Please do not touch the exhibits.
  • No food or pets are allowed in the exhibition hall.
  • Photography with a flash, tripod, etc. and for commercial purposes is strictly prohibited.
  • Please enjoy the exhibition quietly as it is a public space attended by many people who wish to enjoy the exhibits in peace.
  • Please instruct your children to follow the proper etiquette and make sure that they do not run, make a loud noise, or touch the exhibits in the exhibition hall.
    ※ Please note that those who do not observe the proper etiquette or who cause a disruption may be asked to leave.

Large groups are asked to make a reservation in advance to ensure pleasant and orderly viewing.

Group Visitors Koreans: min. 20 persons / Foreign nationals: min. 10 persons
Free Admission Men of national merit, soldiers (including riot policemen, conscripted policemen, duty firefighters), disabled persons (grades 1~3) and their guardian(s), and children / teenagers (Aged 19 or younger).

  • How to apply : Print out and fill in an application form and apply via one of the following means:
    • 1) Send the form via FAX +82-(0)61-280-5865.
    • 2) Send the form to djayssu@korea.kr.
    • 3) Call +82-(0)61-280-5869.
    • *Persons eligible for free admission should fill in the Free Admission form in the [Attachment] and send it via one of the above-mentioned means.

Notice for Group Applications

  • For changes or cancellations of a reservation, please do so at least 3 days before the reservation date.
  • One guide for every 20 paying visitors will be admitted free of charge. (The guide cannot use the coupon.)
  • The number of group visitors is limited to 5,000 per day (to ensure safety, proper assistance, etc.).
  • If the number of visitors (or the day of visit) differs from the information provided at the time of reservation, you can purchase tickets for the actual number of visitors.
